How does it work?

CUG eSports is an esports event platform oriented to racing games (...for now).
Currently the game we have chosen for the events is Forza Motorsport (version 2023) developed by Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios.
Below we will quickly explain how to participate in the events of the platform, how the events are managed, what type of conduct to maintain and other information.

To participate in an event you must be registered on the site and have sufficient credits to access the chosen event. Not all events have an entry fee.
There are limited places available for events, so don’t get beat to it and join right away.
There are three types of events:
- Single events
- Tournaments
- Championships

In the event tabs you will find information about the event you have selected, such as the number of participants, dates and times of the competitions, prizes and many other things.
All events are managed by one of our staff members.

To participate, you must therefore access the event page and register using the appropriate button.
You will then receive an immediate message of participation in the cases in which: - The event has not yet started
- The event is not full
- In the case of an entry fee, if you have enough credits
- You are registered on our platform

The events take place following the dates and times reported in the various tabs.
As you will have certainly noticed at the top left there is (if you are viewing the site from the web) or after clicking an I at the top right, there is the timezone, in case you have not logged in to the site, the timezone is set to UTC and so are all the dates and times of the events on the platform.
If instead you are registered and have selected your timezone, you will notice that next to the timezone writing, what you chose during registration will appear and all the dates and times will be aligned with your clock.
Pay close attention to the correct setting of your timezone as it is necessary to show up at events at least 5 minutes before the start, otherwise the event will start without you.
Take note of the event information and in particular the name of the organizer of the event you are about to participate in, that is his GamerTag (XBOX Live), you will then be invited by this GamerTag (do not accept other invitations) to participate in the private multiplayer event via the GamerTag that you entered in your profile.
Accept and get ready to race!

ATTENTION: It is also required to have a personal copy of the Forza Motorsport (2023) game, a compatible device on which to launch the game (it is obvious but it is better to specify), a working internet connection of good quality (this is also obvious but it is better to specify), and to be registered to the XBOX LIVE service with an active GamerTag.

As an old African folk tale adapted for the occasion used to say

“Every morning on CUG eSports, as the sun rises, a new driver competes and knows that he will have to outrun the champion or he will be defeated.
Every morning on CUG eSports, as the sun rises, a champion competes and knows that he will have to outrun the new driver or he will be defeated.
Every morning on CUG eSports, as the sun rises, it doesn’t matter if you are a champion or a new driver,
the important thing is that you start running...”

At the end of each race, whether it is a single event, a championship race or a tournament race, you will earn points compared to your finishing position.
Up to this point, unless you have been living on Mars until two minutes ago, where, at least at the time of writing this content, we do not know of any car races, it should taste like a car race it works, right?... right?!
Depending on the event and its settings, arriving in certain positions in addition to the points you also have the possibility of winning a prize in credits, the same ones you can use to participate in events.
The amount of the winnings depends on the event, all the information can be found in the event sheet itself.
By accumulating a certain amount of credits you can request the prize of the value of the credits.

As mentioned above, by participating in races you earn points.
All points are added together and through a very complicated and technical algorithm but solved by our AI, the driver’s Ranking is generated, or your Ranking.
You can find in CUG eSports in the rankings section the best drivers divided by nation and other indexes, here too, configure your nation correctly or if you prefer identify yourself with another nationality, the choice is in your hands.
Reach the top of all the rankings, national and international, become the best driver in the world, earn glory, play fair and earn respect.

CUG eSports and its staff are committed to ensuring that all participants comply with the rules of the platform.
In the event of unfair behavior by other participants that is not seen by our staff, please report it via the appropriate section "Dashboard > Support" by selecting "Race Disputes" to CUG eSports.
CUG eSports will decide and communicate the result of the investigation into the evidence of the dispute provided and any sanction to be assigned to the player deemed unfair.
This process can also take place several days after the day the dispute is presented.
Sanctions in terms of penalty seconds that the game can assign (if this setting is present) cannot be contested as they are not managed by the CUG eSports platform.

CUG eSports is committed to keeping the platform functioning, in the event of a problem, please report it to CUG eSports via the appropriate section "Dashboard > Support” by selecting “CUG, we have a problem!”.

Similarly, if you want to share a suggestion with us to improve the gaming experience, please send it through the appropriate section “Dashboard > Support” by selecting “Suggestions” to CUG eSports.

The three sections can be reached from the “Dashboard“ menu after logging in to the platform.
